There’s something really special about people willing to pursue the dreams that they have that aren’t just copies of what other people have done or what is normal, but pursuing what is in their heart. In this case I’m talking about weddings, and more specifically, Dixie and Andrew’s! Dixie’s dream for her wedding wasn’t anything close to traditional, but it felt as genuine and authentic to both of their personalities as could be, and I couldn’t really ask for anything better than that. :)

The wedding was in the backyard where Andrew grew up, their dog was a part of the ceremony (yess!), they fed each other popsicles instead of cake (well, in addition to), and had a killer first dance to the song and style of The Rockafeller Skank.

Dixie and Andrew are such kind and caring (and super smart) people and it was wonderful being able to spend the weekend with them in Dallas.

Here’s to Dixie and Andrew, to always making each other laugh, and to not taking formalities too seriously. :) I wish you guys the very best!
