Dixie & Andrew Married!

There’s something really special about people willing to pursue the dreams that they have that aren’t just copies of what other people have done or what is normal, but pursuing what is in their heart. In this case I’m talking about weddings, and more specifically, Dixie and Andrew’s! Dixie’s dream for her wedding wasn’t anything close to traditional, but it felt as genuine and authentic to both of their personalities as could be, and I couldn’t really ask for anything better than that. :)

The wedding was in the backyard where Andrew grew up, their dog was a part of the ceremony (yess!), they fed each other popsicles instead of cake (well, in addition to), and had a killer first dance to the song and style of The Rockafeller Skank.

Dixie and Andrew are such kind and caring (and super smart) people and it was wonderful being able to spend the weekend with them in Dallas.

Here’s to Dixie and Andrew, to always making each other laugh, and to not taking formalities too seriously. :) I wish you guys the very best!

Holly & Preston – Southern Arkansas Church Elopement

Holly and Preston tied the knot at a pretty church that Holly fell in love with after driving past it one day. It turned out to be a beautiful afternoon for an elopement in this cute little church with Holly and Preston and a few of their closest family members who couldn’t be talked out of missing this. :) Congratulations you two!

Lydia & Jake – Lebanon TN Wedding at the Mills

Starting off this year of weddings for me are none other than Lydia and Jake. Lydia has been a wonderful friend for so many years and has always been someone that I’ve looked up to. So this whole getting married thing was extra exciting for me too. :) Jake and Lydia make such a wonderful couple and I’m very proud to be able to document and tell the story of that one brisk day in March when Jake and Lydia became Mr. and Mrs.

The wedding was at The Mills, a cute rustic venue in Lebanon, TN. And the day went something like this…

Tori & Daniel Married!

Tori and Daniel are married! I had the greatest of rainy days spent in Memphis getting these two hitched. Tori and Daniel’s family and friends were what some would call a hoot (or a hout? ahhhh bad jokes), so we had the most wonderful of times. I’m super excited for these two and can’t wait to see what new adventures life will throw their way next as Mr. and Mrs.!

Congrats to the Houtrouws! ❤

Gotta love a snowy NYE wedding exit. ?

Junior League Downtown Little Rock Wedding – Hannah & Kenny

This is this story of two of my dear friends who fell in love with each other were married amidst their dearest friends and family. This one felt especially magical because not only was it a whole lot of Hannah and Kenny’s favorite people in attendance, but mine too. :)

These two have been a huge blessing to me as friends and I’m so happy to see these two joyful, caring, and warm hearts together. For this journey, we started at Central Church of Christ and celebrated the reception at Little Rock’s Junior League ballroom-style venue. It was bliss.

Cady & Cory Married!

Cady and Cory’s wedding at Garvan Gardens was a wonderful joy-filled celebration. Cady and Cory are a blast to work with, and the everything came together just perfectly. :) The reception was at Mountain Valley Spring Co and made for a bright and elegant venue for an evening dancing and visiting with friends and family.

Congrats to Cady and Cory!

Rainy Hot Springs Arkansas Wedding, Hamp Williams Reception

Megan and Andrew are married! These two have become very near and dear to my heart since meeting for their engagement session. They kinda feel like family to me and even moved to where my family lives…coincidence!? I think not. For blog posts, generally the selection of my favorites tend to highlight the happiest moments more than anything else, but Megan and Andrew are pretty much like this all the time. Which I don’t mind one bit. :)

The wedding consisted of a day surrounded by Megan and Andrew’s closest friends and family (including their sweet child, Harper Lee, the cutest dog ever). All in all it was quite the amazing wedding, full of so much laughter, offers from dad to pay to cancel the wedding (quite a sweet gesture really :)), torrential downpour of rain, and a lot of love.

It was truly a blessing being a part of such a special time and I’m excited to see what the future holds for these two.

Big thanks to Ashel Parsons for shooting with me. Also, many thanks to Randi Slick & Signature Events for coordinating and planning! Also to these vendors:

Ceremony: Garvan Gardens
Reception: Hamp Williams Building
Videographers: Jim & Linda McConnell
Florist: Kelly Efird Designs
Cake: Ambrosia
Band: The St. Louis Big Band

Lewis & Clark College Illinois Wedding – Rachel & Ty

Rachel and Ty are married! I met up with these two in St. Louis for their joy-filled wedding day. Rachel and Ty are both very kind and caring people who are a joy to work with.  The wedding day was such a wonderful time! We started the day with getting ready at Rachel’s vintage-decorated apartment and then met up with Ty and the rest of the bridal party at Ty and Rachel’s favorite church at Hanley Road. After that we went to do pictures (and then get them married!) at the most beautiful community college that I’ve seen, where Ty happens to teach: Louis and Clark Community College.

It was so wonderful being a part of Rachel and Ty’s wedding and being able to witness these and so many other precioius moments. Enjoy the photos! Congratulations to my favorite new St. Louis newlyweds! :)

Taylor & Alex – Outdoor Arkansas Summer Wedding

Taylor and Alex are married! Taylor’s been a wonderful friend of mine for a long while now. We’ve also been a part of quite a few weddings together, and she’s always been one of the most encouraging, caring, and spiritually grounded people I know.  And now it’s Taylor’s turn to get married! :)

Taylor and Alex are truly wonderful to work with, whatever the occasion, and their wedding was no exception. The wedding was at the scenic Abbe House bed and breakfast where a lot of the friends and family stayed for the weekend. The entire day was relaxed and intimate, with many personal touches added to make it a uniquely Taylor and Alex wedding. :) Part of the ceremony included acknowledging all the people that had impacted their lives for the better, which was one of many personal touches that were a part of the T&A wedding.

I’m super proud of these two and I’m excited to see what their future holds. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Farris!
