Snapshots from my life

December 6th, 2010 | filed under: photo, video project | tags: , , |

These past few weeks have been some of the busiest times in my life that I’ve remembered.  It’s been for sure.  There are so many things that I’d like to write about, but haven’t found the time to do so.

In an effort to keep this updated anyway–here are some pictures from some of the things that I’ve been up to lately.

Club stuff…

yep…I know those people.  ;)

Running all over the place talking to people to get photos that don’t run in the paper…  ;)

Functions…

and I made a video…

That’s all.

Clubs and stuff

I’m still alive. If you’re outside the Harding bubble, we’re been going through the hilarious week long event known as pledge week.  Today is the last day. I’ve been taking a ton of pictures.  This week has been crazy.  Here’s pictures.  I’m going to bed.

My Last Mixer

October 8th, 2010 | filed under: Personal, photo | tags: |

It’s true (probably).  Unless drastic things happen in my life, I’ve gone to my last club mixer, which happens to be PTP’s.  I’m not going to make this a farewell speech or anything, but it’s just an odd thing to think about.  So I won’t talk about it.  ;)

I’ve been thinking of this whole club thing.  There’s selecting–a necessary part of a club’s existence that always leaves me a little unsettled.  When people aren’t invited back to join something that they’ve been trying out for, they can react in a number of ways.  Some people feel indifferent, some slightly sad, some angry, some depressed, etc.  This specific aspect of clubs is a bit sad.

I wish everyone trying out for clubs could believe that their self-worth isn’t related to whether they make it into the group that they want to be in.  God has other plans.  You can still make friends.  You can still have a group of people to stay accountable to.  Life goes on.

If you were to tell everyone at Harding how to view clubs, what would you say? I’m thinking of writing an article about this in the Bison, and I’d appreciate some different ideas.  Or maybe this is just a small problem that affects a few people and doesn’t deserve much spotlight.  Well?

Personally, I’ve gained a whole lot from my club experience.  I’ve been encouraged so much, made some great friends, had some great times, and have been challenged in many ways.

It’s an interesting subject.

Who is creeping on the creeper?

Just a random.  I like all the different expressions.

Photo Week

September 14th, 2010 | filed under: Personal, photo | tags: , |

The other night my brain got this great idea of taking a camera with me every day for a week.  So far I haven’t even lasted a full day, but it’s something that I wanna at least try to do the rest of this week.  I really like people pictures.  I feel like you can tell a lot about someone by their face.  Face value.  ;)

Some other things:

  • The Bison, Harding’s newspaper, has gone purely XY chromosone.  I used to have have three employees.  Now, all the yearbook photographers are girls, and Caleb Rummel and me are sole owners of the Bison’s manliest department: the Bison photographic department.
  • Things are crazy busy!  These past few years, my schedule hasn’t been too crazy, but now it seems like there’s always stuff going on, and I have to pick what to go to and what to skip.
  • I just found this song via pandora. It’s good. :) Perpetuum Mobile.

PTP Friends

We had a club picture for PTP last week.  It was pretty cool…bah, now everything I post away from school will just bring back memories.  :-P  I’ll just have to get over it.  But yeah, I like PTP.  ;)

Pi Theta Phi, wdag? hah...but yeah, I love these people. :)

The Seniors.

I don’t know some of the seniors here too well, but I have been blessed by each one of them.  There is such personality represented here, and I could write a whole shpeel about how each person has encouraged me and motivated me in some way or another, but I’ll just say that in this picture are role model encouragers, super God-followers, some sa-weet vball players, and all in all a hugely blessed group of girls (plus the stickaman) that have been giving so much of their lives to others.

But enough of that stuff…if you want full size pictures to inspect faces or print or whatever, here you go:

So...can I just say that I'm so glad you're not graduating yet? ;)

Peace and love to my home dawgs,
