This is my Freaky Friday rendition of the theme this week for project 52. Cue epic music.
My thought process for the theme (12) for this photo-of-the-week thing was that 12 is a dozen -> eggs come in the dozen -> I like the band Explosions in the Sky -> why not make a super corny spoof? -> why not do Eggsplotions In The Sky!?
So…here it is: Eggsplosions in the Sky. Unfortunately, eggs were harmed in the making of this picture.

Here is the behind the scenes picture. ~6 pictures blended together, some eggs, some milk, an assistant, a flash, long exposure, and ~25 layers in photoshop.

Be sure to check out the rest of the less-crazy interpretations of ’12.’ Here is (the wonderful) Cheryl’s version. Cheryl is part of the talented team known as Zoe Portrait Art.

I have been documenting my summer tradition of going from mop-hair to clean cut for a while now, but this time I decided to do something different than previous years. This is a bit more basic, but I’m okay with that. Also, I usually go for natural colors, but switched it up this time…just because. :)

- BTS Photo — that’s behind the scenes for you normal people.
- Ancient blog posts containing the tag haircut. My first attempt is awful!
- Cheers,

It’s gone–1, 2, 3, 4, 5. ;) As is the tradition–with summer comes less hair. Now…the hair!

Before and after the haircut. :) (

So I saw Avatar in 3D the two days ago. It totally blew my mind. I don’t know if it was the 3d that I liked (that was my first movie to see in 3D), or if it was the movie alone that made the move so great. The answer I’m leaning toward is that 3D probably helped…a little.

Try something nonconventional. Making this picture, I wasn’t looking for this effect at all, but after turning off a few layers, this pretty much made itself, and I liked the look. There might also be a video sometime soon (the original purpose of doing the image), but it’s something I’ve never seen done, and it probably won’t look that cool. So this teaser is probably cooler than the actual thing.
Now that I’ve raised your level of excitement to the roof, I’m out. ;)
