Have you ever pondered the idea that it’s possible to have a large yet limited number of songs that you like that will satisfy your music desires fully? I’ve been thinking about that a bit as I put together a list of
all my favorite songs that I have. This may be due to me going through a phase where I listened to random secular music for a while, but as of right now I’m completely satisfied listening to only the music that I have now.
I know that everyone has different tastes in music, and if a perfect playlist is possible, mine probably won’t be as good, but here is mine: Jon’s Ultimate Playlist

My top listened to songs
I guess I like about 50% of the music that I have. I guess that’s pretty low, but I don’t delete very often. :-P
In other news, since posting every week isn’t really going well, I think I’ll change my goal from posting every week to having enough posts as there are weeks.
A last tidbit: Free – Tree 63 is an awesome song. :-) Check it out!

So this is the first post on the new server! That’s exciting, I guess. ;-)
I changed my webhost from cookiehost to dreamhost for cheap-plan-expired-and-new-one-by-same-host-couldn’t-be-found reasons. :P I don’t really have high expectations for dreamhost, but they somehow advertise the plan as having unlimited storage. I don’t know if there is fineprint for people like me, but that sounds like a good place to backup everything on my computer. This would be really slow at home, but one upside of college internet is that they have a good connection, lots of people downloading usually, but not many people uploading things at once, which means upload speeds of around 1.2MB/s, which is pretty stinking good in my book. =)
Enough geek talk. What I just said was that I changed the location of where jonyoder.com is hosted, and then other things are happening too. ;-) As you may have noticed, the blog is working, but the gallery and never-visited camp forums are still not working. I’ll fix them sometime. :)

My initial attempt and mastery of art.
Here is my first picture that I drew using a wacam tablet. It’s definitely a different way of drawling, and some things are weird, but it was definitely a fun adventure. If nothing else, it motivated me to make a really ridiculous picture. :-)
Also, Happy Valentine’s day! If nothing else, tell your mom how great she is. I know I will! =)

Happy New Year to all! Yet again I seem to never get around to updating this. I always find something to be enthusiastic about, but it seems like updating my website gets put by the wayside too much. However, there’s always time for change.
I’m not really big on New Year’s resolutions, although I have been in the past, but I am big on resolutions in general. I’m constantly resolving to do better than I did the day or the week before. Sometimes the new year can help motivate you to do your certain goal better, but for me I’d rather stick to resolve daily to do my best.
On the topic of getting things done, I really like making lists–mainly to-do lists. I don’t know if they help much, since I’m pretty bad at getting the list done or even looking at the list after I make it, but I think my list-making helps me out in some way or another.
So, I’ll briefly outline what I plan to do better in the future concerning this website known as jonyoder.com. Not sure how much will result from doing this; time itself will be the only storyteller.
- Update blog more often, and change some things
- I need to make a layout that isn’t so lame and generic. I might match it with the rest of the site, but I’m not sure how I want it yet.
- Add more pictures. I’m not really talking about a funny comic or odd picture either, but rather pictures that I have taken. Yep, even though I’m bad at taking pictures on a consistent basis, I still really enjoy photography.
- Add more content to the site, so that it’s not so dead-like.
- Slideshows. I think slideshows are a great method of presenting photographs. Viewing them outside a slideshow is great, but putting the pictures in slideshows adds a whole new dimension to the pictures. There is so much that can be done to add personal taste to the pictures with music, transitions, and timing adding more dimension and mood to the pictures.
- Videos. In addition to photography, videography is another thing that I have interest in, I just never went anywhere with that interest. Even if I never get good with video taking skills or cinematography type things, I still want to try to add random funny or historically interesting videos to the site.
- Finishing the site (real contact page, updated pages, etc.) is also something I should get on someday. ;)
- Keeping it real. Not sure how that will relate to what I need to do with my site, but take that however you want…and do it yourself too.
Also, Something to keep in mind:
Phil 4:13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
Whatever you resolve to do, don’t hold back because you can’t do it (but at the same be realistic), but remember that even if you can’t do it by yourself, anything is possible through God. God bless.

Sorry for the part where I didn’t update. Not that anyone reads this at the moment, but I still want to keep this semi-updated.
Happy 4th of July! Today was a super relaxing day for me. I haven’t seen any fireworks yet, but I think tomorrow night will change that. :)
Something that I came across:

The coolest sand castle ever! (source)
In other news, it looks like loan interest rates dropped significantly?
Also, here’s a hilarious video about a new law introduced in California.
God bless!

Hello and welcome to my new blog. I really haven’t done anything pertaining to the blog scene at all for such a long time. A lot of it is due to the fact that Harding blocks my previous blog (for dating/social!?)
www.xanga.com/darkshadowfor . I plan on updating this a lot more often than I updated my other blog, and I plan on making the subjects on stuff less original than my other blog posts. Being less original is not my aim, but I plan on linking to all kinds of different things that I see, approve, and find interesting on the web. However, I might just come up with something super cool one of these days…don’t worry. ;-)
At the moment I will leave this theme as the boring thing that wordpress came with, but eventually I will change it up and hopefully have it semi-integrated with jonyoder.com, instead of just the entirely separate entity that is is now.
