One Take Wonder

A warm evening in our Arkansan abode, my housemates and I were informed of a contest to win some tickets to this week’s Alison Krauss concert at Harding. The contest involved making a cover song/video:

Pardon the shaky footage. I wanted to do this in one take and I don’t have extensive videography experience.  ;-) I kinda like the rawness of it… out of tune, non-remembered lyrics, and oh yeah, the cops came.

It’s kind hard to notice during the video, but you can see lights flickering midway through the video and I think the cops were spotlighting our house. It was a fun, exciting, on-a-whim filming adventure that I’m glad happened. If I had more of a mind I would have video’d talking to the cops too. That or asked them to be in our video.

But didn’t win the contest. Maybe because I didn’t shoot the video in HD.
