I don’t usually post blog updates solely to show a video that I found unless it is super great. I don’t even like soccer and this video makes me want to play, gives me the shivers, and inspires me (even if only to make videos ;)). Watch it and weep:
I hope that you liked the video as much as I did. :) I probably watched it about five times by now. Read the rest of this entry »

Once upon a time in the caves of Searcy, an idea was originated. This idea was so good that it could be matched by no one. It was an idea encompassing a level of collaboration that this state has never seen before, an idea so original that its like has never been made–an idea to…make an anchorman spoof involving a bunch of beaux.
Crazy, I know, but it happened, and videos have been kept secret long enough, and now they are being unveiled to all the world, along with some pictures of the event. :P
Now, here’s the video:
There you have it. I’m not a very good actor (to say it lightly) and my voice work needs work. It’s okay though, I still think it turned out great. The middle section of the video was passed around to the different beaux to do what they wished to it, so it was a neat collaboration project thing that involved a lot of cool guys. :)
Here are some of the other videos:
Zeta Rho Video – Mark Baur edited this, and did a stellar job with taking the idea and running with it. Good stuff. =)
DGR “most active beaux on campus” beaux for playing the video with no story added to the beginning or the end (basically 1:58 to 6:13), way to go. ;)
JGJ beax for just using Delta Nu’s video…haha.
KJK for not even showing the video at all. Hmmm. By the way, why am I the only one that thinks “‘Parking lot’? More like ‘parking less.’” is hilarious?
[non sarcastic] Brett Ellis for heading this up and doing a super editing / filming job.
If you have any more stories or anything of what was was shown at the different clubs’ functions/formals, shoot me a comment so that I can add to this and make fun of more people. ;)

A little something something to pull you over until I unveil the whole thing. First, some random teaser points. This was:
The biggest beau collaboration. Ever?
I had exclusive coverage of the event as a photographer.
Many different videos and branch-off projects.
aaaaaaaaark.
Now I’m just making up stuff.
These two pictures may give you more of an idea if you haven’t heard anything about it.

This week has been interesting so far. Every day has had its own events, some seemingly insignificant, some pretty stinking crazy.
Have you ever convinced yourself that something was going to happen? I mean like gotten yourself as sure as you know how that something’s going to happen. I remember this happening twice in my life. I kinda thought it was faith, but I don’t know–maybe it’s faith with human intentions–faith unfounded in God’s will.

There are many different personalities around campus. Clubs sometimes gather a lot of the same personalities together, and this is probably true for the club I’m in, but one of the reasons that I like Harding so much is the diversity. You have the ultra conservative, the moderate conservative, the hippie, the free spirit, the prep, the pimp (wanna-bes–no actual real ones here), the liberal, the foreigners, the democrats, the chill, the suspiciously chill (if you know what I mean)…the list goes on and on.
These groups describe many people, but there are some people that create a character that no genre can contain. One of these characters is Randy, Dirty Ranchez, Ranchez, or Dirty Ranchero. He’s a huge man, but he only works out so that his future kids will look up to him and maybe think to themselves, “My dad is a huge guy!” There are many different words that could describe Randy, but I think the most appropriate and accurate is “ridiculous.”
Here’s a brief view into some of his antics:
Randy and a few of his fans.
A close-up of the shirt gift that he made for 'the blue banquet.' "Help me! Please, someone!" "Rachel!!! hang on Rachel! ...let me go! AAaaaaahhh" / "Happy birthday Rachel! Grrr!"
Now I’m starting to feel too much like a reporter. Hope you enjoyed Randy’s work of art. Have a great night.
