The truth is that I haven’t been very active in taking pictures. I need to get on that. Yesterday I wanted to try out a lighting set up the other day with light coming from the left and the right, then a shadow running down the middle of the face–and here is my favorite example of my first attempt.
The only thing that didn’t go as planned is that there is so much light spill around the room, but I still like the picture.
In other news, this past Friday was the first snow day of my college career, and also the first time that I’ve seen real snow here. Pretty awesome day–I had a lot to do, was going to wake up early to finish my homework before class, but then when I saw that school was cancelled, I proceeded to do absolutely no schoolwork the entire weekend.
Sadly I didn’t really take any great pictures of stuff we did on Friday, but it was definitely one of the greatest days of the year, and these pictures are for documentation purposes. =)
Descriptions: driving around (drifting), chilling / eating, sledding, out my window in the morning, car-assisted sledding, singing/talking--baha.

Well obviously the chicken would win, but we won’t even go there. Anyway–some story. This one obscure camera company, Nikon, decided to head up a short-film contest about your life in a day. While this was obviously just a ploy to get some attention to their newer cameras ability to shoot in high definition (wow), and I didn’t really care about winning $100,000 for making the best video, since, to be honest, I’m not good, BUT the winner’s video is gold. Definitely one of my favorite short-films of all time, OF ALL TIME.

A picture from the Boxtober Sky function…I like this one a lot.
Rockets and excitement. And Beans looking hilarous.
And another one…just because.
Wes, straight from the coal mine. What a cute couple.

I was looking through the (incorrectly named) Video Project category of this blog, and noticed that I didn’t have many of the Pi Theta Phi beaux entertainment videos up. So for the sake of completeness, here are the other videos that I made and/or filmed and/or was at least a part of.
The most recent beaux entertainment video. I like the editing a lot, so mad props to Brett, who’s just above the play button in the video preview.

The other day we were bored in the room, so Zach decided to fake tatoo himself up, with the help of Beans. It was pretty cool, and I took a bunch of pictures too. Sadly he washed them off a few hours later, but oh well.

Here are some more of the pictures. It was a super great trip–a good time to enjoy nature and see the glory of God, spend time with some people that I don’t spend enough time with, and just to enjoy being away from civilization.
The nights and being super cold wasn’t my favorite, but everything else made up for it.
A long exposure of the cave that we stayed in, with a little waterfall coming over the edge.

Just got back from a 2-day camping trip to Buffalo River in the Ozarks. Arkansas in general is pretty flat, but there are some nice exceptions. God is so amazing.

Firstly, you absolutely must, no questions asked (I won’t answer them!), watch this video.

First things first, Crayon Physics is having a deal where you can pay as much as you want for it (until January 15th). I played through it before, and it’s a great game. I think it’s worth a little money, as it’s a fun and original game to play…so I bought it–hurray! (and you should too )
Here’s a picture that I took for a family photo. I was making sure the light and everything was right, hence me not being in the picture. My mom…cracks me up.
I’m leaving in the morning for Harding again. This break was really good and relaxing, but I’m also ready to go back. As a precursor to the 17 hour drive back to Arkansas, I try to stay up all or most of the night the day before. It helps in that I’ll be so tired, I can sleep half the way there, and the long drive doesn’t feel so long. =)
