Picasa 3.5

So…I saw that Google’s Picasa 3 has been updated to version 3.5, and since I have been planning on getting it sometime, just as an alternate picture search tool for all my pictures, I gave it a whurl.  One thing that got me excited was its newly built-in face tagging feature (actually in the program instead of exclusively online), which I haven’t really had any experience with before now.  I’ve been told that apple’s iPhoto did this pretty well, but I had never seen it in action.

I haven’t used the program much yet, but while getting started with the face-tagging feature, I came across this.  I may be easily amused, I know, but I thought it was funny.  :-)

Lazy Saturday

Nothing too exciting happening. I haven’t really been taking any pictures yet either. Today was the PTP and ZP club softball match / fun / random games function. That was a lot of fun, then we finished off with a slip and slide using this massive billboard for the tarp. It would have made a good aerial picture, with a massive picture of someone’s face, with other people sliding over top. =P

Anyways, I just remembered that I hadn’t checked up on Mae for a while, and their new song this month, In Pieces, is pretty sweet. Check it out. =)

Strobist in development

College is awesome. I really enjoy being here, seeing all my friends again, and all the busyness that goes on here. But also it gets me off of my normal routine, and this blog has gone a bit inactive. I plan to update it more often though, as club stuff is coming up, I’m the historian again, and hopefully with my flashes (aka strobes), I’ll create some cool lighting shots. So…wish me luck. :)
