Speed reading

So I found this site today called Spreeder.  It displays text one word at a time, starting at 300 words per minute, but you can set it to display faster than that, such as 400 or 500 words per minute.  At first 400 words per minute sounds like a lot, but with this it actually isn’t too hard to keep up with, it just isn’t a relaxing read.  ;)

And according to this site I can read at around 250-300wpm (not sure where my comprehension lies exactly), so this effectively increased my reading speed ability by about 150 words per minute.

I don’t know if I will ever use this on a regular basis, but it’s definitely interesting.
